NEW Federal Research Security Training Requirements

Overview

Beginning May 1, 2025, the Department of Energy (DOE) will mandate research security training for any individual who contributes in a substantive, meaningful way to the development or execution of the scope of work on a federally funded research project. The National Science Foundation (NSF), as well as other federal agencies, have also indicated plans to implement a similar requirement in the near future.
