The trainings below are mandatory for all UCSF staff and employees who do not conduct research. If you receive even $1 of extramural funding for research, or are listed as a key personnel on a UCSF research project, please see Mandatory Compliance Trainings for Researchers.
Non-Researchers Must Complete the Following Mandatory Trainings
1. UC Ethics and Compliance Briefing (ECB)
Training Requirements
Non-research employees of the University of California (UC) are required to complete the UC Ethics and Compliance Briefing, or ECB (the full title of the module in the UC Learning Center is “General Compliance Briefing: UC Ethical Values and Conduct”).
The ECB training must be completed every two years.
Content
This briefing is designed to raise continued awareness of the University of California Statement of Ethical Values and Standards of Ethical Conduct, and to convey University employment obligations with respect to ethical and compliant behavior.
Completion Time
The ECB training takes approximately 30 – 60 minutes to complete.
2. UC Preventing Harassment and Discrimination
All UCSF employees are required to complete UC's training on preventing harassment and discrimination.
3. UC Cyber Security Awareness Fundamentals (Cyber Awareness)
All UCSF employees are required to complete UC's training on cybersecurity.
4. UCSF Foundations of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI)
UCSF is tracking completion rates for UCSF's DEI course.
